La cantautrice del Kentucky annuncia un lungo tour europeo che toccherà l’Italia con due sole date a marzo 2016.
Joan Shelley in compagnia del fidato chitarrista Nathan Salsburg, porterà nel nostro paese il suo ultimo ottimo “Over and Even”, disco accolto con entusiasmo su diverse prestigiose testate musicali (9/10 su UNCUT, album della settimana per Stereogum, 7.8 per Pitchfork) e che presenta collaborazioni con Bonnie Prince Billy e Rachel Grimes:

In queste settimane “Over And Even” si sta ritagliando spazio anche in alcune delle consuete classifiche di fine anno stilate dalle varie testate musicali per decretare i migliori dischi del 2015. Le ultime in ordine di tempo a decretare la bontà del nuovo lavoro della cantautrice sono stati: NPR ( NPR Music’s 50 Favorite Albums Of 2015), The Telegraph ( The Telegraph’s Best Country Music Albums of 2015 ), Brooklyn Magazine ( Brooklyn Magazine’s 20 Best Folk Albums of 2015 ).
L’annuncio del lungo tour europeo arriva insieme alla premiere di un nuovo video che vede la Shelley esibirsi dal vivo al The Bomhard Theater di Louisville, Kentucky, insieme all’amico Bonnie Prince Billy:
