“Day Of The Dead” è un mastodontico triplo album di cover dei Grateful Dead curato da Aaron e Bryce Dessner dei The National.

Uscirà  a maggio su 4AD e coinvolgerà , oltre ovviamente alla band dei ‘compilatori’, altri musicisti del calibro di Kurt Vile, War On Drugs, Phosphorescent, Bonnie “‘Prince’ Billy, Courtney Barnett, Wilco e Mumford & Sons.

Le 59 cover vedranno la luce in versione digitale, versione 5 CD e versione vinyl box-set mentre tutti i ricavi finiranno a finanziare la ricerca su AIDS/HIV.
