“Lovely Creatures | The Best of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds 1984 – 2014”, in uscita il 5 Maggio 2017, è una panoramica completa delle registrazioni di Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds dalle origini fino ad oggi. Attraversa trenta anni di musica, dal loro debutto “From Her To Eternity” fino al quindicesimo album in studio “Push The Sky Away”, la raccolta naviga in uno dei cataloghi musicali contemporanei più esilaranti, eccentrici e inventivi che ci sia.

Compaiono nella raccolta alcuni dei loro classici dal vivo come “Stagger Lee” e “The Mercy Seat”, la loro hit del 1995 “Where The Wild Roses Grow”, e brani più recenti e amati dai fan quali “Jubilee Street” e “We No Who U R”. Ci sono canzoni che i nuovi arrivati conosceranno solo grazie alla loro comparsa in colonne sonore di film e serie tv quali “O Children” (Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Pt. I) e l’onnipresente “Red Right Hand”, recentemente resa nota ai fan dalla serie Peaky Blinders.

L’album è stato compilato da Nick Cave e dal membro fondatore Mick Harvey, con l’aiuto degli attuali Bad Seeds. I membri passati e presenti hanno esaminato i loro archivi personali per scovare foto e memorabilia inedite poi raccolte in un bellissimo libro a copertina rigida insieme ad una serie di saggi. Il libro è disponbile come parte della versione Limited Edition “‘Super Deluxe’ che include anche un DVD di due ore con filmati d’archivio inediti e rari. Lovely Creatures è disponibile in quattro formati, tutti includono foto personali e rare della band: Standard CD, Triplo LP, Deluxe 3CD con DVD e la versione Limitata Super Deluxe.

Originariamente “Lovely Creatures” doveva uscire nel 2014. Dal momento del suo rinvio, la band ha registrato e pubblicato l’ultimo e acclamato album “Skeleton Tree”.
